Spiral form and application

For horizontal spiral centrifuge equipment, there are several more critical components, each with different tasks. The screw is one of the main components of the horizontal screw centrifuge, which is related to the production capacity and working effect of the equipment.

When the horizontal spiral centrifuge is working, the work it is responsible for needs to constantly transport the sediment settling in the inside of the drum to the outside. At present, there are many kinds of spirals on the market, so for different devices, you can freely choose the right spiral to work with.

However, spirals are mainly divided into two categories. The first is countercurrent, and the second is concurrent.

Using the former horizontal spiral centrifuge, its feeding chamber is located in the middle of the spiral, that is, next to the boundary between the dry zone and the settling zone, so that the liquid phase has more settling time, and the solid phase can only stay through the cone part of the time required, so the need for relatively large centrifugal force; Otherwise, the material may enter the drum, which will cause the solid particles that have been settled to mix again, and will also produce turbulence and additional eddy currents, affecting the effect of solid-liquid separation.

As for the use of the latter horizontal spiral centrifuge, in general, its feed port with the sweat is located at one end of the drum, the advantage of this setting is to solve the turbulence problem, so that the sediment is not disturbed, and can be settled in the whole process, which ensures a better settlement effect, so that the separation is better. And it will not be disturbed, only a small amount of flocculant needs to be used, so the utilization rate of the equipment will be guaranteed.

Through the above comparison, we can find that in fact, the two can be applied to different occasions, such as if it is a horizontal spiral centrifuge with a downstream spiral structure, which is more suitable for difficult separation materials with small solid-liquid density difference, poor solid phase settlement performance, and low solid phase content, and can also be used for sludge dehydration.
