There are two types of differential commonly used:
(1) Cycloidal pin wheel planetary differential
The differential is a planetary transmission device, the needle wheel of the inner tooth drive wheel, and the needle wheel is connected with the rotating drum. The planetary wheel is a cycloidal wheel, which is connected with the centrifuge helix 2 by the V-axis through the W mechanism. This kind of differential is small in size, light in weight, simple and compact in structure, and its transmission ratio is large, and the transmission ratio of first-stage transmission can reach 9.97; High transmission efficiency, up to. The main disadvantage is that the rotor bearing on the input shaft works under high speed and heavy load conditions, and the life is short. This kind of differential is mainly used for small and medium power horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge.
(2) Involute planetary gear differential
This kind of differential has a variety of structural forms, among which the two-stage 2K-H structure is widely used. The differential housing contains a two-stage, half-coupled 2K-H planetary gear drive. The two inner gears b1 and b2 and the differential housing are connected with the centrifuge drum, and the rotor H2 of the second stage transmission is connected with the helix. The involute planetary gear differential is a multi-shunt symmetrical structure transmission device, which makes full use of the space of the internal gear and divides the power into multiple transmission, in addition, the internal meshing itself also has a large carrying capacity and the space within the internal gear can be used, making the structure relatively compact. Therefore, this kind of differential has the advantages of large carrying capacity, small size, light weight, large transmission ratio, low noise, easy maintenance, etc., and its transmission efficiency reaches 0.99, which is common for all kinds of horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuges with large, medium and small power.
It can be seen from the above that both kinds of differential have certain advantages, and from the long-term use point of view, the involute planetary gear differential has more advantages. Its use is more reliable, and its life is longer, and the failure rate is lower. Therefore, most of the differentials used in spiral centrifuges at home and abroad are involute planetary gear differentials. For example, LW500 type centrifuge differential, LWF38O type N centrifuge differential, LW63O type centrifuge differential are involute planetary gear differential. This differential has a wide range of application, suitable for large, medium and small power. However, cycloidal pin wheel planetary differential is not suitable for high-power centrifuge and has certain limitations.
